Merchant Warehouse And Retail Pro International Announce Partnership

merchant_retailproMerchant Warehouse, a provider of payment technologies and merchant account services, today announced a partnership with Retail Pro International (RPI), a POS, store operations and back-office software application company that focuses on specialty retailers.

With the partnership, RPI will bring the Merchant Warehouse Genius Customer Engagement Platform to specialty retail stores throughout the U.S. As a result, RPI customers will be equipped with the tools and resources to turn the point of purchase into a key moment of engagement, according to Kerry Lemos, CEO of RPI.

“We’ve seen greater innovation and change in the payments industry in the last few years than in the last 20 years combined,” Lemos noted in a press release. “Genius allows retailers to accept any type of payment in a low-risk manner, and turn basic transactions into deeper interactions with their customers. We’re looking forward to the opportunities Genius brings to our customers that they may not have previously considered possible.”

By adding Genius to its solution set, RPI will be able to help retailers keep pace with new payment trends in a more seamless and cost-efficient manner, according to company officials. The cloud-based platform is designed to allow merchants to accept a variety of payment types, discounts, promotions and rewards programs in real time. In addition, Genius prevents all sensitive data from being stored in the POS system, so retailers can protect customer payment information in the event of a security breach.
