Wilson Chao, CEO of Wavesoft said one of the company’s goals for the RetailNOW event is to help its customers integrate new mobile products. “The industry has grown a lot in terms of adoption of mobile technologies,” he said. “They must be aware of security issues, such as pay at the table; also how to set up encryption for the wifi network.” Both service and efficiency must be improved with new mobile technology, he added. While budgets have been a hurdle with mobility, with the adoption of Apple products, cost has been less of a concern in the past few years. Now they must be concerned about how to integrate the different types of devices.
