OpenText, an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) provider, announced last week that it has joined forces with ExactTarget, an SaaS marketing services company, to develop and sell a unified solution. The new offering, which combines the ExactTarget digital marketing platform and OpenText Digital Asset Management, was created to help enterprises find and deliver engaging and personalized experiences across all customer touch points.
“By expanding our partner ecosystem to include ExactTarget, we’re creating a comprehensive customer experience management solution that strategic CIOs can leverage as part of the OpenText EIM strategy,” said Kevin Cochrane, CMO of OpenText, in a press statement. “What separates us from the pack is that we’re tapping into a broader audience to extend support beyond marketing to other lines of business.”
According to the OpenText Digital Asset Management (DAM) web site, users search for media 83 times a week, and fail 35% of the time to find something that fits their wants and needs. DAM, however, was designed to reduce the failure rate for users to less than 5%. Combined with digital marketing capabilities from ExactTarget, the new solution will allow marketers to use their time and money more efficiently and effectively to strengthen personalized communications and omnichannel marketing campaigns.
The new solution was debuted at digital marketing conference Connections 2013, which took place last week at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. OpenText announced that the solution will be available to all ExactTarget and OpenText CEM customers in Q1 2014.
