Barcoding, Inc. And Lucas Systems Team Up For Voice-Picking Solution

National systems integrator, Barcoding, Inc. and Lucas Systems have announced their partnership in developing Jennifer VoicePlus, a voice directed warehouse application designed to run on open, industry-standard mobile computers. Through the new venture, Barcoding will offer its warehouse management customers the solution, which is designed to increase warehouse productivity and efficiency while reducing distribution center costs.

Both companies will jointly sell and market Jennifer VoicePlus, which is designed to optimize for standard computer systems so applications can be run on the same terminals they already use for non-voice radio frequency (RF) applications. Through Jennifer, managers can leverage voice-ready capabilities to either use voice or scan barcodes interchangeably to increase accuracy and productivity.

“Through this partnership, new and existing Barcoding customers will receive the full advantage of Jennifer’s next-generation voice-plus capabilities that drive higher ROI and lower total cost of ownership than older voice-only systems,” said Shane Snyder, VP of Sales for Barcoding, Inc.

With the new solution, warehouse managers are expected to receive a suite of process reporting, productivity and other management tools through the Engage Management Services Console. The program is featured to complement and extend into existing warehouse and labor management, along with other back-end systems.
