Thousands of retail technology vendors, solution providers, system integrators and retailers are expected to converge during the annual RetailNOW Conference to network and learn about emerging industry trends. The event, which is hosted by the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA), will be held Aug. 4 -7, 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Touted as “where the industry meets,” RetailNOW 2013 will feature presentations from a variety of retail thought leaders and innovators. Roy Spence, Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Co-Founder and Chairman of GSD&M, and Co-Founder and CEO of The Purpose Institute, will deliver the keynote presentation.
During the session, titled: Purpose Inspired Growth And Leadership, Spence will discuss how organizations can drive the future by being “purpose inspired,” according to the RetailNOW web site. Best-in-class organizations will see “winning on purpose” as a core business strategy and “accelerator of passionate employee engagement, life improvement innovations and exceptional and sustainable performance.”
A variety of educational sessions also will spotlight new retail technology, business opportunities and best practices. Hot topics to be discussed include mobility, new advancements in payment technology, professional services and the benefits of “as-a-service” business models, among others.
“RetailNOW can provide attendees with the latest industry-specific education, an opportunity to see the providers of world-class retail technology products and network with industry peers,” said Joe Finizio, President and CEO of RSPA. “RetailNOW empowers organizations with the information and interaction needed to help their businesses grow.”
A snapshot of presentations taking place during RetailNOW include:
In 2012, RSPA experienced significant growth in both attendance and exhibitors during the RetailNOW conference: Nearly 2,000 hardware companies, solution providers and resellers signed up to attend sessions, while more than 150 organizations exhibited on the EXPO floor. This year, RSPA is predicting similar growth, with more than 175 exhibitors presenting their latest products and solutions on the show floor.
Additionally, RSPA is offering Industry Education sessions, which were developed to help vendors and resellers improve their businesses by focusing on strategic planning skills, communications and marketing tactics. These classes are offered to RetailNOW attendees for an additional fee.
