Channel innovator Jay McBain has joined Forrester as Principal Analyst – Global Channels. The co-founder and former CEO of ChannelEyes, McBain’s career has spanned more than two decades, including executive sales, marketing, channel and strategy roles at IBM, Lenovo and Autotask.

He currently serves as the chairman emeritus of the CompTIA Vendor Advisory Council and Managed Services Community. He is a board member of the Channel Vanguard Council, Ziff Davis Leadership Council, and CRN Channel Intelligence Council.

In his new role at Forrester, McBain will work with emerging and established brands worldwide. The Forrester experience is built on a singular, powerful purpose: to challenge thinking and lead change,” he added.

Forrester Research is an influential global research and advisory firm, working with business and technology leaders to develop customer-obsessed strategies that drive growth. Its unique insights are grounded in annual surveys of 500,000 consumers and business leaders, rigorous and objective methodologies, and the shared wisdom of its clients.
